My name is Philip Forrest. I can't be too sure, since I have few facts to go on... I'm the grandson of Michael Baron, the son of my gr grandfather Baron who moved to america from Przemisl (pron: Chemish), Ukraine (now Poland) in 1915. The name was changed from Baran to Baron through Ellis Is. like your family. My grandfather Michael has a few brothers, Peter and Paul. Peter died a few years ago and I'm trying to compile as much information about my family history before all of our ties to the Ukraine are gone. Not many people in my family know very much about our past besides the grandparents. My grandfather is married to Gertrude Baron (surn. Schroll). I also know that they settled in the Chicago area and we still have relatives there. That's pretty much what I can dig up right now, but perhaps through a little detective work we could help each other to find more extent of our families. I will only be at this address until december 1, 2000 when I will move up to the Seattle area for my next duty station (US Navy). hope to hear form you soon.
