I too am having the same problem, my grandparents were born in Canada as Baron, but when immigrating to the N.Y & Mass. areas on all their papers the name was spelled Barron.I think it was the way Canadians pronounce their r's with a rolling sound. Although, looking through all the message boards....there is also a great probability of families being interlinked that have nothing to do with one another. Sorry, Mona
