I too am a descendant of William Barnhill Sr. My uncle (Lawrence Barnwell Jr) has collected a great deal of information after the migration to America. My uncle is now deceased, but his website is still available at:
http://members.tripod.com/~bonash/ and contains the geneology up to William Barnhill Sr. I'm am thinking about continuing my uncle's work farther into Ireland. In a small search, I was able to find this website
http://www.migrations.org/individual.php3?record=30053 that claims William Barnhill Jr coming from Bucks County, PA. Maybe this will be of help to you. If you do find any more or already have information that continues this lineage back into Ireland, please let me know. Thank you!
