Hi,
I'm trying to find the parents of Eliza Barnhill (b.1807) and Lucy Barnhill (b.1814). The Pitt County, NC deed book LL from 1844, pp.44/45, mentions Friley Glisson and wife Eliza, grandchild of Henry Barnhill, dec'd. Another deed also mentions Lucy Barnhill as a grandchild of Henry Barnhill, dec'd.
This Lucy Barnhill was living with Friley (Frank Riley, Riley E., etc.) and Eliza Barnhill Glisson in 1870 so I assume they're sisters. Eliza Barnhill was married to Jesse Crisp before he marriage to Friley Glisson.
The above information is from an abstract book so I don't have full access to the deed. It seems their parents may have been dead by 1844 since their portion of the Henry Barnhill estate went to them, instead of their parents. Any information on the parents of Eliza and Lucy would be greatly appreciated!
