I am searching for info on Jacob BARNHART and wife, Sarah GREGORY, who were from Delaware Co., NY. Children that I know of are: Maria and Richard (twins), born 6 May 1850; Hiram Julius, b. 12 Aug. 1851; and John, born ? There are probably more siblings that I don't know about. Maria is my g,g grandmother and my father remembers her talking about at least one sister. This family moved to Whiteside Co., Ill. in 1865. Maria married Samuel Burdick SCHRYVER in 1868 in Ill. They moved to Whitten, Iowa in 1883. I suspect that the parents of Jacob BARNHART are William and Peggy BARNHART, but can't be sure. Somehow a SCHAEFFER/SCHAFFER family is connected, but where I don't know. Any help would be greatly appreciated. And I am willing to share any info I have.
