My great, great grandfather was a David Barnhart b. 1798 in Cazenovia, NY. He married Polly Putnam b. 1809. They married in Cazenovia, but appparently moved to West Bloomfield, NY where my great grandfather, William Wallace Barnhart was born. I have not been able to find any ancestors of either David or Polly. Polly was supposed to have descended from Israel Putnam, but I have not been able to verify that. My mother also said that David Barnhart had a brother who married Polly Putnam's sister Sarah, but that also has not been verified. Would appreciate any clues.
