Hello Lee; I am researdhing a line of the Barnhart family name for a cousin of mine; a grand daughter of General Lee Barnhart(his christian name) which I believe is L. Barnhart you refered to in your posting to Carol Boring. I am lucky in that I have a tape recording I made with my aunt (wife of Hubert Barnhart) before she died, in which she outlines her husband's brothers and sisters, one that is named "Jesse". My aunt stated that they lived in and around Nacogdoches in the 1920's. She was married to Hubert in 1928 in Nacogdoches. She stated that General Lee was married to Mary Elizabeth Cobb; that Gen Lee was born abt 1876 and died about 1925. It is very possible that your "L Barnhart b. Mar 1876 and my Gen. Lee are one and the same person. If you would like the names of the siblings of Hubert, please contact me and I will supply you with what I have.
