Hi leah, I have no direct info regarding your family. I wantes you to know that Pennsylvanian Dutch is a German dialect exclusive to pre-revolution America.Like French spoken in Quebec, it is very different than the parent language. With regard to the name Barnhart, it was originally Bernhardt, and started about 1200ad in the Bern valley of Switzerland. I have a lot of general barnhart info and would be happy to share.
Allen Barnhart
Vancouver Island, B.C.
