I am looking into the parentage of George W. BARNHART of Jackson Co., West Virginia. The 1860 Census lists him as 31 years old and born in PA in the year 1829. His wife, whom he married March 18, 1850 is Elizabeth PRESTON, was born in 1831 in Virginia. They had ten known children and possibly another child (maybe more that I don't know of). 1] Sysvester Lo. BARNHART was born in 1851 and married M.M FERGUSON of Ohio, on March 25, 1871. 2] Albert, born August 1853, and married May 24, 1882 to America Alice (Anise) HUGHES of Jackson Co. 3] Martha J. born 1855, married Jacob Benton BALSER of Jackson on April 4, 1883. 4] Ezra, born 1858, and married Corinthia V. GIBBS on May 14, 1979. 5] Theodrick, born December 1859, married Margaret S. DORNON of Lawrence Co., Ohio. 6] Richard, born 1861. 7] Henrietta, born 1864, married to Elijah W. BALSER on January 28, 1886. 8] George Sherman, born 1866, married March 12, 1899 to Clemmie E. PUCKETT of Meigs Co, Ohio. 9] Ella Victoria, born April 1870, married to Joseph Johnson SAYRE or Meigs Co., Ohio on December 14, 1897. 10] Nellie, born July 1874, married Charles Al LYONS Of Wirt Co., WV on November 28, 1897. Information on any of these families would be appreciated, but I am specifically looking for the parents of George W. BARNHART.
