i am also doing some work on the barnhart name from new york. my g grandmother was sarah barnhart,i have not been able to find out as yet anything else about the family except that some where she either had a sister or sister in law named eliza which could be short for elizabeth barnhart . i am going back to the county building to find out more . she ( eliza ) was in the 1905 census at that time with at least 5 children.
i thought at the time it was unimportant but now have found out that sarah barnhart was my ggrandmother . any info you have would be appreciated. thank you in advance.kathy
