Hi Brian, I guess we might be cousins. My Grandfather is John D. Barnhart, his father was Ruben O. Barnhart son of Croleus (Carrolus) and Jane Barnhart. I have just started working on the lines but I have a little book I was sent years ago from Albert D. Barnhart to help. I was looking in that 1880 census and found D.F. Kidder and Catharine listed in McKim district. He is listed as a cooper and her as keeping house. The interesting thing I found is that she lists NY as the state she was born in and her mother's birth state as Penna. and her father's as unknown! Also, there is a family story that at one time, the Barnharts were living around the Pittsburgh area. I have been looking there for my husbands side of the family and now that I have more names (thank you very much for your posting) I will go back to work on the Barnharts and see what I can find! Take care. Rhonda Stamm
