I am a 7th generation descendant of Conrad and Barbara. I have seen in several places where a John (sometimes Johan) Adam Barnhart is credited with being Conrad's father, but I Question that possibility. John Adam was supposed to have been born and to have died in the same Pennsylvania county, while Conrad was born in Germany. It seems unlikely (these were the early 1700's) that he was born here, traveled to Germany, fathered a child, and then returned to America. Either (A) John Adam was actually born in Germany, or (B) he isn't Conrad's father. I would certainly like to fill in the empty box above Conrad on my family tree, and would greatly appreciate any proof someone might have as to John Adam's link to my family.
