Julius A. Barnhardt , NC, mid 1800's

I am looking for the cause of death and burial place for a great, great uncle of mine named Julius A. Barnhardt. Julius was the brother of John Cyrus Barnhardt and the son of John S. Barnhardt and Delia Duke. He and his brother served in the American Civil War in Company G of the 6th North Carolina State Troops. I know Julius was wounded/sick
at a point not too terribly long after he enlisted. I have copies of his muster rolls that keep making mention of him being in hospital. And then it says that he died
"in hospital, place and time unknown" I have been searching records and I can find them in the hopes of finding his burial place and possibly the hospital that he died in. Any help that anyone can give me in this search will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks...
Barney... barneyb@salisbury.net
