Need some help sorting out George Barnhardt's. I have seen conflicting info on two George Barnhardt's from Cabarrus Co. NC both supposedly born cir 1800. One George B. married 1)an unknown female before 1828 and 2) Mary Krimminger in 1847. His dates are given as b. 1 Jul 1800, d. 27 Dec 1895. He is supposedly buried at Cold Springs Methodist Cemetery in Cabarrus Co.NC. Most family histories have this George B. as the son of John R. Barnhardt and Phillipina Schmitten, but at least one family history lists John & Phillipina's son as the husband of Frances P. Isenhour. This George B. was supposedly also born in 1800 and married Frances in 1831 but he was not in the household in 1850.
Several family histories have listed the George Barnhardt who married Frances Isenhour as the son of George Barnhardt and Mary Mitchler. Any help in sorting this out will be greatly appreciated.
