Mack Barnett was probably born 20 Apr 1881 or 1882 in Kentucky, based on death certificates and WWI registration cards. His middle initial is J on his death certificate (assuming it is in fact his death certificate). He died on 7 May 1972 in Springfield, Clark, Ohio. SSN: 402-30-1661. He's listed as widowed. There's a Pike County, KY death index for Axie B Barnett with a death date of 24 Mar 1965, age 72.
I first see him in 1910 in Greasy Creek, Bell, Kentucky, age 28. A marriage certificate from Bell says he married Axie Goodin on Dec 3, 1907. She is in the census, age 16. They have a son, Laid or Loid (Lloyd?) Barnett, age 1 7/12. This is listed as his second marriage and Axie's first, and they've been married 2 years and she has had 1 child that is still living. He is listed as a Blacksmith at a coal plant.
George W. Goodin & Mary, down the street, had an Axie Goodin age 6 in the 1900 census, and she has now disappeared. George is a coalminer that has been married 28 years (he's 49 and Mary is 49).
Mack is still living in Tinsley, Bell, Kentucky when he fills out his WWI registration card on 12 Sep 1918, listing his present occupation as Mechanical and working for J.B. Jellico Coal Company. He lists his wife as Axie Bell Barnett He's "tall, medium build, blue eyed and dark hair"
Later there is a Bell Co. birth record for a Mary A Barnett, born to an Axie Goodin on 8/14/1915. There's a Bell Co., death record for Mary Barnett of 27 Sep 1916. I can't confirm it's her but believe it is.

Gladys P Barnett - 17 Aug 1926 - Pike
"Mac" and Axie next show up in Caney/Pike/KY. The census reads:

Barney, Mac - 33

-Lloyd 12
-Luther 10
-Alfred 3
Mac is now an "electrical engineer" for the coal company.
In 1930, Mac & Axie are in Pike, Kentucky. Mac is now a contractor for the coal mines.:
