I am finding more info about this family and want to share it for comment if possible and also connection to anyone else working on this particular tree.

I found that:

William Barnett married Elender Nelly Sullivan (Sulivan) March 3, 1825 in Parish of St. Helena, Louisiana. William died Oct. 4, 1848 in Newton County, Mississippi. I am not sure when Elender died, probably shortly after 1870 in Mississippi as well, because she disappears from the census in 1880.
One of their sons I was able to track, Daniel Lee Barnett, probably died in Mississippi between 1880 and 1900 as his widow Matilda ( MaGee ) moved to Limestone County, TX on the 1900 census.
William Barnett served in the War of 1812 in the Tennessee Militia and his widow Elender received bounty land in about 1860 which was located in Louisiana. Records seem to indicate she sold this land immediatly. Later census records of his children claim William was born in Mississippi but he may have been born in Tennessee due to the military record indications.
I am trying to track where he was born and am currently waiting for NARA military records which may shed some light.
Any tips folks?
Best Regards,
From a Barnett.
