The descendants of Charles Denton Barnes and Eva Green Gunter will meet at a new location this year for the annual Reunion. As always, the event is scheduled for the fourth Saturday in June which will be June 27, 2009 in Mesquite, Texas. The 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. gathering will be held in the Swindoll Clubhouse of the Christian Care Center at 1000 Wiggins Parkway, Mesquite, TX 75150. Charlie Barnes (1871-1908)was the son of William Calvin Barnes (1818-1886) and his second wife, Elizabeth Freeman from the Warren County, Tennessee area. Charlie and Eva moved to Hill County, Texas with their first three children and had six more children there.
