Lydia Barnes was born in 17773 in Albermarlo, Virginia. She married William Tompkins Isbell I believe in 1795 in Wilkes, North Carolina, and died June 17, 1861 in Burkes, North Carolina. I have just started working on this line again and as I recall from years ago, researchers said that her father was Solomon Barnes, whose father was Brinsley Barnes. I have been reading the older messages to see what I can find and there seems to be a confusion on this Solomon Barnes being son to Brinsley. Is there anyone that is descended from this Lydia Barnes who married William T. Isbell? Or is there anyone out there who knows who Lydia's father really is? So far, I haven't found anyone to claim the honor.
