Kathryn Vogel Barnard, 85, of Johnson City, Washington Co
TN, passed away on April 23, 2009.

Born in El Reno, OK, she was the daughter of the late
Louis John and Bertha Carpenter Vogel. She was a loving,
devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Barnard was a resident of Texas City, TX, for over
forty years before moving to the Johnson City area. She
was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church,
Texas City, TX. She volunteered several hundred hours with
the Auxiliary of Mainland Center Hospital, Galveston
County, Texas.

She is survived by her husband, Kent R. Barnard of Johnson
City, TN; two daughters, Linda B. Gallagher and husband
Michael of Johnson City, TN, and Janie B Silveria, of
Seaside, CA; son, William L Barnard, of Jonesborough, TN;
two sisters, Dorothy Davis and husband Jack, of Amarillo,
TX, and Virginia McNally, of Naples, FL; grandchildren,
Lisa Gallagher Elrod and husband Jason, of Golden, CO,
Erin Gallagher, of Johnson City, TN, and Stephanie and
Brooke Silveria, both of Seaside, CA; and several nieces,
nephews and cousins.

The family will conduct a memorial service at a later date.
