Hello,
My maiden name is Barlow. My great grandfather was William (Bill) Garton Barlow (carpenter)fine furniture maker in Pittsburgh PA.He brought to US via Canada a model of a plow design that was patented by his father (we have the model). He Married Jennie Lynn Biggerstaff and lived in PA Allegeny county. Our Barlows are from Lincolnshire per my father. I traced back to this family.. with Sarah Ann Garton Barlow (Barrowby?) married to John Barlow. My great grandfather traveled and stayed with family after Jennie died.My Father wasn't sure were all the family was but it was in the east of US.My Grandfather John William Barlow (carpenter) had an uncle who was killed by Pancho Villa in New Mexico per family lore, my mother said she saw an article about it and I'm still checking, I'm not sure were my Dad kept it before he passed away, could be the Biggerstaff side but she thought it was a Barlow.
