Leslie: Unfortunately everything I know about the Barley connection was in the first message. Because I knew where Alice Kate died and approximately when, I researched the B.C. Archives home page and was able to get the info I needed to get her death certificate. That's how I knew her maiden name and the name of her father. I also found her gravesite on a Vernon cemetery website. I plan to visit there soon and see if I can learn more. Any info about the Barleys would be most welcome. E-mail me anytime.
