Hi Katy,

I have a number of Barleys who were living in and around Upwell area of Norfolk (about 20 miles from Hockham I think), but have also hit a wall!

My tree stops at around 1798 with the marriage of Edward Barley to Mary ??? in Upwell. A branch of the Barleys then moved to Wisbeach in around 1830 to work on the docks and then onto Stavely in Derbyshire around 1850 to work in the mines.

Don't know if any of this ties in with yours...
