I was so excited when I read your message that I had to follow-up. I also intend to email you. Yours is the first message that comes reasonably close to what I've been searching for. My maiden name is Barley. My paternal grandfather's name was James Grover Barley born in Van Buren,Ark around 1887. His father's name was John Barley. I have picture and a message on a postcard from his mother, but cannot read her first name. My grandfather had at least one brother named Jesse A. Barley. Mostly I have correspondence between them before and during WWI when they were both in the Army. Please respond if any of this sounds familiar.
