I don't know if this is a connection or not. Almost all of my ancestry tracing has gone back through the Western part of Kentucky. My Grandmothers father was John Joseph Barley who, supposedly, was born in New Madrid Co. Mo. in either 1855 or 1861. He married Kisiah Metheny and lived in Mississippi Co. Mo. until moving to Eudora Ark. where he is buried. I have been unable to find his Father's name.
