I'm trying to locate the parents of Ruth Ann Barkhurst who married Esau Harris. Their daughter Eve married Henry Palmer, son of David Palmer and Margaret Alexander. On the 1850 & 1860 Bloom, Morgan County, Ohio census, Esau & Ruth live very close to Rees (sic) and Mary Barkhurst and William & Elizabeth Barkhurst. On the 1870 census, I cannot find Ruth but the Warner, Rees and William households are listed. The 1850 lists their place of birth as Virginia.

I have to believe that Ruth is related. She's one year older than Reese and 2 years younger than William. I can get all the info off the censuses if you'd like, though it doesn't get us any closer to Ruth or Reese's parents.

My husband is descended from Henry & Eve's daughter Eva.
