Sorry it took me so long to answer. I don't have anything on Silas,I'm afraid. I had only recently come across the entire family of Elisha's,so,there are branches I haven't done yet. I appreciate the info on the will of Elizabeth. I get up to OBKY every once in a while,so can get a copy. Do you happen to know any Barker that connects with a family in Spencer co.Indiana(around Grandview or Lamar)? My Grandfather knew a Gilbert "Gib"Barker when he was younger, and people always got them mixed up,because, apparently, they greatly resembled each other. Grandpa didn't think they were related;but I'm wondering. Since we were related to the Elisha Barker family, thru Sylvester Barker, then, maybe this Gilbert could have been a descendant of one of Samuel's other sons..
Elisha married Mahala Horn in 1832..do you figure that she's related also to Mary who married Silas?
If I run across anything,I'll keep you in mind,re:Silas.
