Heather, while digging through "to do" notes last night I ran across something which might help you.I have a note
reminding me that the LDS has a microfilmed manuscript entitled "Barker family tree, 1200-1977."It is described
as follows:
"Randolph Le Calverhall was a tenant in fee at the manor of Claverhall from which he held from William de Dunstanville in 1200. His descendant, Samuel Barker (1648-1720), was baptised at Claverly, England, the son of John and Mary Barker of Aston Manor. He immigrated to America in 1682 with William Penn and settled on land in New Castle County, Delaware."
Now here comes the interesting part -
"His great grandson, William Barker (1772-1848) was born near Ashboro, Randolph County, North Carolina, the son of Samuel Barker (1739-1803).He and his children migrated to Indiana in 1831.He died n (sic) Center Valley, Hendricks County, Indaina (sic).Record follows line of descent through his daughter, Hannah Barker (1797-1864), who married John Fox (1802-1903), to Arrie Pearl Gossett Houk (1878-1942), mother of the author.Includes an extra page at end, (typescript, 1 leaf) not part of work.George "Squire" Barker and his wife, Ellen Ryan, migrated to Perth, Indiana, from Pennsylvania, with their three daughters.Their daughter, Jane, married Thomas McGuigan, an Irish immigrant, at Brazil, Indiana, ca. 1894.They had six children."
The main author is reflected as being Andrew Keith Houk (1915-), added authors being Andrew Keith Houk (1950-) and
Susan Lynne Hart Houk.
Does any of this ring a possible bell?If so, the LDS reference is "Barker family tree, 1200-1977 - FHL US/CAN Film [1404658 Item 7].Good luck!
