Larkin Jordan Barker b 1855 Alabama>Texas
My great great grandfather was Larkin Jordan Barker. His death certificate states his father as A.W. Barker and his mother as Lucille Jordan. It also states he was born in Cleburne County, Alabama, which was not in existance at the time. There were 3 parent counties. One of the parent counties, Calhoun, had a Larkin J. Barker age 5 in 1960 but the parents of the household were E. A. Barker and Mary E.
Ephriam A. Barker and Mary Elizabeth Spradlin were married in 1852 and Mary was still on the census in 1870 ruling out Ephriam having been married to a Lucile at the time of Larkin's birth.
Another riddle to this is that the 1900 census of Montague County, TX shows Larkin to have been born in AL, his father AL and his mother, GA.The Ephriam Barker family shows the father and mother both to have been born in GA.
Because my Larkin had the middle name of Jordan and his son was the informant on the death certificate, I believe his parents to be A.W.Barker and Lucile Jordan.Does anybody out there have any further information on him?My Larkin married Lucindy J. Bryant.
Thanks a bunch, Larkin Cousins.
