Larry, you are right.My research shows that after William Barker died, Priscilla married Samuel Lettman.After Samuel died, Priscilla had land grants in Wake Co. adjacent her several Barker sons and is listed as Widow Lettman.She is later named in the will of a Mr. Linn and is referred to as his houskeeper. It seems safe to assume that all or most of the earliest Barkers in Wake were her children and grandchildren.For instance, there were three William's - before 1800.And I have a William b. 1803 NC who shows up in Copiah Co. Mississippi in 1834, marries there in 1838, a second time in 1855, has a large family and many descendants.I have not been able to fit my William in with the Wake County Barkers but fill sure he belongs there.Help!
