So, you also decend from William H. Barker and Julia Ackerly!!! Cool....
(actually, I'm jumping up and down, but I don't want to look too excited....)
Julia Clara Barker, Willie and Franks sister, was my great-grandmother.She died in 1958 before I was born.I have a blanket made out of small woven squares that we have been repairing, and I have always felt a connection to "Gram".
She was married to Stephen Lines, Jr., and their son William Lines and wife Carrie "Dottie" Haviland are my grandparents.
My grandfather died in 1978.
I have a picture of Frank and a picture of his sisters Ida, Amelia and Julia.I think I even have pictures of some of the other family members too, just don't know it.My mother is still living, about a mile from me, and she has been researching the family for almost 30 years.
I can tell you this much.
This is what I have on the Barker line:
William H. Barker, boen 13 Jan 1847 in Goldensbridge, Lewisboro, New York, died in Goldensbridge 10 Mar 1886.Julia Ackerly was born 20 Aug 1849 in Yorktown, Westchester, New York, and died 9 May 1891.
Williams father is James Barker, mother Catherine Armstrong.
James is the son of James Barker and Hettie Austin, Catherine the daughter of John Armstrong and ?.
I have extensive info after Hettie Austin (probebly 30 or so generations ).
It is believed that the last James Barker is the son of Hannah Bangs.
Julia Ackerly is the daughter of Obadiah Ackerly, Jr and Sarah. Now, it is BELIEVED, we are still working on this....that Obadiah is the son of Obadiah Ackerly who left Westchester County, New York, and went to Canada, and his son returned to Westchester County.
I would be extreeeeemly interested in all of the information on both "Uncle Frank and Uncle Willie", their wives, children and all decendants!!!!!
This is SOOO exciting!!!!!
(I'm going to go call Mom!!!)
Hope to hear from you soon!!
