MA> NY> Plymouth,MI> VanBuren Co.,MI
Greetings,
Oh what alot of Barkers to sift through!!
My line came from the East and settled in Michigan.
I have lots of info on my line but there were other Barkers in Van Buren County, MI who I can't seem to connect.
My line is JOHN & BETSEY (LELAND) BARKER.
John b. 1771, Berkshire, MA.He stopped off at Rochester, NY then onto Plymouth, Wayne Co., MI, then two of his 12 children, Harvey and William, moved across the state to Van Buren Co.They were very prominent pioneers, have much interesting info. to share about them.(Harvey did move back to Plymouth, MI prior to his death in 1862/63).
There was also a JOHN BARKER, from Yorkshire, England, living near them in 1850 Census for Porter Twp., Van Buren Co., MI.
If any of these names and this Michigan area are familiar in your outlines sure would appreciate hearing from you--I have much historical information to share, including pictures.
Harvey had 4 sons & 3 daughters, all 4 sons served in the Civil War, with documentation.
Thanks for any help!!!!!
