Napoleon Baribeau

I just discovered this website this morning, and was quite amazed to see all of this activity re; the Baribeau surname. A resident of Southern Ontario, I have met very few Baribeaus outside of my immediate family in the Windsor area and a few relatives in the Drummondville, Quebec region. All of these are decendants of one Moise Napoleon Baribeau (originally spelt "Baribeault")and his wife, Marie Pellerin. I have a birth certificate showing that he was born January 25th, 1873, baptised the next day at the church of St. Bonaventure of "Opton" (hard to read this last word), presumably in Quebec. His parents were Calixte Baribeault and Marie Provost. My own father, Albert, passed on very little about his ancestors, probably in part due to the fact that Moise passed away in 1929, at which time Albert would only have ben 10 years old. If anyone has any information about how this branch of the Baribeau family is connected to the others discussed on this board, we would be very excited to hear about it. Thank you very much. Sincerely, John Baribeau
