Hi Ann,

I have written to you before on this subject. That's when you thought it was Eugene instead of Eugenie. You are right on with the family of Edouard Baribault and Calixte Perron. The birth record is written as Edouard Wilfred Baribault, b. 1841, Ste-Anne-de-la-Parade. At least one of his brothers was also in Conn. by 1870. On the census
you will find Olver and Sophie Baribault. I'm not sure of the spelling they used, Baribault, Baribeault, Baribeau or Baribo. If you look on the mormon site's 1881 Canadian census you will find Edmond and James listed in the household of A. Zephir Gouin 61, Sophie Gouin 59, Eugenie Gouin 20, Louisa Gouin 18, Stasie Desolier 56, listed as domestique, Edmond Baribeau 16, and James Baribeau 12. That Eugenie also married a Baribeau, but not from Edmond's family.
If you would like the birth record of Edouard W. (Edmond) let me know. I will send them to you. They are hard to read and in french besides, but still nice to have. I will also send you that Baribeau line all the way back to Francois Baribeau and Perrine Moreau the first Baribeau to come to Canada if you would like.

Dave Cisler
