I am trying to locate any information on a John T.(Thomas)Barham born circa 1850. He was a missionary that adopted Lenora Barham, my grandmother. They would have lived in or around Johnson County NC where Lenora meet and married my grandfather Mordecai Prett Batten in 1902. She died before I was born and I have always been told that she was a Native American that was orphaned at an early age and adopted by John T. Barham and his wife(name unknown). I am trying to determine from what tribe she belonged. I would truly appreciate any information that anyone may have regarding John Thomas Barham. Thank you very much.
