Hi, I am new to research of my Barfield heritage but I found posting on Kershaw family that your John Barfield (killed at St. Petersburg was married to Martha Young ( granddaughter of Colonel Joseph Kershaw who was a partiarch of Camden, SC) You can google him. I am descendent of John Barfield's son Zachary.
