George Baremore, St. Charles, Ill., 1881
St. Charles (Ill.) Chronicle, 29 July 1881:
We have received the following communication, which speaks for itself: I wish to state for the benefit of those desiring insurance, that my loss of $400 on barn was paid by the Elgin, St. Charles, Campton and Plato Insurance company within one week after the fire occurred. I would advise all wanting cheap and safe insurance to patronizes the above company.
