I'm sorry, but I don't have anything more than the information I already posted.It was research done by my aunts.I'd hazard a good guess that they are related somehow though.I don't think the Barefoot name is all that common.
So far, I don't have any James in my groups.Thomas Duncan's father was :

I have no other information at all about Stephen Barefoot, nor of any other children.I only know his name because he's mentioned in his father's will, as is Dillon (grandson of Jeptha)
