Abstracts of Wayne County Wills, Wayne County, N. C. 1780-1868, Vol 1. Barden, Jacob (Planter) Oct. 1786 July Ct. 1787 Son: James; Daughters: Sarah Fulghum, Drucilla Hooks, Elizabeth Durdeno, Ann, Alse (Alice); Executors: Hardy Hooks and John Fulghum; Witnesses: Jesse Aycock and Elias Aycock. I am looking for a Miss Barden who married William Dail. He came to N. C. in 1781. They had 6 children:Penniah, Nancy, Alsie, Thomas, James, William Riley Dail. THey moved to Ga. All got sick and they moved back to N C. The mother died and William Dail took 2 sons and 3 daughters and moved to East Tenn. He "adopted out" William who was too small to travel. THe 2 boys died on the trip and William and the 3 daughters setteled in Anderson Co. Tenn. In Dutch Valley. William Riley Dail lied about his age of 17 and enlisted in the army and fought in the war of 1812. Then he joined his family in Tenn. Does this fit any ones family?
