I wonder if you have any info on your John Bardin and his parents and siblings. I am looking for Henry Clay Bardin who lived in AL and was married to Mary Ann Sellers. His brother shot and killed a man and the two of them fled to TX. His family never heard of him again until his son Cy became an adult and tracked him down according to family folklore. He was living in TX with a different wife and family. He was a bigamist. I was thinking that if his son found him, I ought to be able to but have had no success. Is it possible he had relatives in TX that were possibly related to your husband?
