Researching and updating the William H. Barden family of Sherman, New York. William was born on December 17, 1819 in Staplehurst, Kent County, England the son of Edward Barden and Fannie Clark. He was married in Eng on 10-29-1842 to Anna Waterman who was born in Staplehurst in 1822.
They are found in the 1860 US Census for Chautauqua County. Their children are Ann Barden, b. 1844 in Eng.; William Barden, b. 1845 in Eng.; Edward Barden, b. 1849 in Eng.; Sarah Barden, b. 1851 in Eng.; Mary Jane Barden, born in 1853 at Sherman, NY, and John Barden, b. 1859 in Sherman, NY.
