I have some information on a Martin Farrar. According to "Vermont Once No Man's Land" by Merritt Clark Barden, a Martin Farrar, son of Betsey Barden and John Farrar, was born in Vermont and died in Chicago. He was a railroad engineer. He had a son George who had no children. The name of Martin's wife is not shown.

Betsey Barden was born 1817 and is the daughter of Shubael Barden and Lydia Pierce. She married John Farrar 31 Dec 1835. She and her family genealogy are in "The Barden-Bardeen Genealogy" by William A. Bardeen,

John was the son of Samuel Farrar and Rhoda King. He was born 3 Dec 1807 in Rupert VT and died there on 3 Nov 1873.
