James Waddle was a brother to John WADDLE, who married Eliza (Keller/Campbell) Waddle. In 1854 from Ohio or Indiana, there was a WADDLE-BARCUS train to Iowa that had my GGrandfather, Thomas RANNALS'S parents on it. Thomas was left in either Ohio or Indiana with John and Eliza WADDLE (a childless couple). Thomas's parents unknown. In 1855/6, the Waddles, along with Thomas, moved to Jackson Co., Iowa. He was with them at the age of 31 in a census 1885, Farmer's Creek. I was told that James BARCUS died in 1858 in Fulton, Ill or was is Fulton, Iowa, which is in Farmer's Creek, Jackson Co. James BARCUS and James Waddle and John Waddle were friends and I was told that John and Eliza were buried under a tree by James Barcus in a cemetery called Blackaby Cemetery. Does ANY of this sound familiar to anyone? While I am not related (that I know of), it is the RANNALS connection I need as this would be my paternal Grandmother's Grandparents (parents of Thomas).
