My BARCUS family supposedly started out in MD. When the father died, one son Richard John was sent to relatives in KY. Son James was sent to relatives in OH. And dtr Emily may have stayed with relatives in MD. Someone may have records of these children being adopted or just "showing up" in a family. Appreciate any help.
