John Fergus is one of our distant relatives. His business was based in Largs where his son also worked with him. John travelled all over Scotland taking photos.He is recorded in the 1881 census.
Thomas and Alice Barclay are also recorded on the 1881 census. But this might not be the ones mentioned. However it does seem to be the only Thom. and Alice there is. Thomas is aged 22yrs and is a railway clerk, and his sister Alice is aged 24yrs , she is also a clerk. Their father is given as William Barclay. born Inverness. Thom and alice were born Glasgow. So your photo should give Thomas as being around the age of 25 yrs.
