Are you sure you have the right Barclay family that John was referring to? My wife is a descendant of Robert Barclay and Mary Frazer. Robert was the son of William (we beleive), but the dates of births which I have are about 5 years earlier than the dates you stated. My dates are unsubstantiated, however.
