Hello,
I found a very old piece of paper in a box at my grandmother's. On it was simply written someone's kids(in a very pretty handwiting I may add). The middle initials were such that I was unsure as to what one or two of them were:
Wm. H.(either an H or F)Barclay, my Eldest son was born April 1st, 1814.
William K.(K or R)Barclay, my second son, Born 16Jan. 1816.
John H. Barclay, my 3rd born, 1818.
Robert M. Barclay my 4th born, 1820.
Robert " Barclay, my 5th born, 1823 Age 12 hours.
Robert Miller Barclay, my 6 born, 1825.
Janet Campbell Barclay, only daughter, born April 30, 1828.
Does anyone know who these people are? If so, who were their parents? The last one, Janet Campbell Barclay, was my g.g.grandmother. She married Ebenezer Stenhouse, and they settled in Columbia, S.C.; he owning a general store of sorts, she a music teacher. The Yankees later robbed them and burned them out.
