The date of death of Robert Barclay is in dispute. The date 0f 1818 appears in "The History of Albemarle County". There have been other indications that the death was earlier, ie: 1809, just months prior to the birth of his last child. Bonds for orphans were placed on each child and are dated October 5, 1818 however.
