The Barclays of Newark, Hopewell Township, Ohio, are James Barclay and his wife Sarah German. James was born 1804, in Virginia - haven't located his birth place yet. Sarah was born in Delaware or Maryland, I'm not certain. James and Sarar probabloy lived with his parents in Muskingum, Hopewell Township, Ohio. James's father was Robert Barclay whose wife is Elizabeth, I believe. James purchased land in Ohio, about 1840. I have the deeds, photos, children, etc. James and Sarah are my 6th g-grandparents.
