Here were the Barkley/Barclays that came to What became Tyler Co Tx in the 1830s. Walter and Elizabeth (McQueen)Barkley/Barclay and their children; Robert (Sarah McKinsey), Anderson (Sara Prather) John, David (Jane Enloe), William, James (Virginia Foster), Jeremiah Todd (Elizabeth Rigsby)Milton, Mary "Polly", Louisa and Nancy. I know who all they married, but do not have it on the tip of my tongue. Also there were Elizabeth McQueens brothers; David, who went back to Ala on business and died there, Milton, and sisters Spicey Mitilda Taylor and her husband and Jane Bean and her children. Already there was the McQueens cousin Squire Cruse and his wife. (Their 5 children were drown in the Mississippi River crossing on a raft). Also came were some slaves. The McQueens were descended from John McQueen and Nancy Crews. The Barclays were descended from Robert b. est 1716 and Leah Barkley of Rowan Co NC. The original McQueen in America was Dougal, a POW.
