My name is Mary Penny Barclay, and I was born in Montreal at the Misericorde hospital on June 18th 1966. As my mother was unmarried at the time, she decided to give me away for adoption.
I was adopted by a Dutch couple, lived some years in Curacao, and then moved to Holland, where I still live today.
I know my mother had three sisters, who knew about the adoption. She also had a brother and was employed as a secretary.
In 1995 it was reported to me that my natural mother died in 1992 at the age of 44 in Ontario. She was (probably) born in 1948 and gave me away for adoption at the age of 18.
As I have no possible names of my father (I only know that he was married and was aged 23 when I was born), and authorities are unwilling to provide these to me, I take the liberty to ask you to help me out if you can.
I would really like to know whether you are related to a Miss Barclay, who died in 1992 at the age of 44 in Ontario?
Do you know a Miss Barclay that gave away her child for adoption at the age of 18? Do you know anyone who could help me to find my natural father and/or relatives or may be related to them?
